Start with legal identity and the manufacturing site
Confirm the full legal name of the entity that operates the plant and the entity that will sign the contract or issue export documents. A trading company can provide useful service, but its role should not be confused with the manufacturer.
Ask for the plant location, the production lines relevant to your product and current photographs or a live audit route. The name on licenses, quality documents, bank details and contracts should be reconciled before payment.
Put every capacity claim in context
A capacity figure is meaningful only when the product, grade, unit, period and basis are clear. Ask whether the number is design capacity, permitted capacity or current operating capacity, and which line or site it covers.
Availability for one order also depends on campaign scheduling, maintenance, raw materials, storage, packaging and transport. A large annual number is not a substitute for a confirmed production slot.
Review specifications and batch evidence
Send your target specification instead of relying on a broad grade name. Identify concentration, purity or impurity limits, application, required standard and any destination-market requirement.
Request a representative COA and ask how batch results are released. Review the SDS for handling and transport, and confirm whether certificates or market-specific documents apply to the exact product and legal entity.
Test the supply process before the first order
A strong supplier should be able to explain how an inquiry moves from technical review to availability, packaging, documents, inland transport and export coordination. Ask who owns each step and how exceptions are communicated.
Before a commercial commitment, align the product, quantity, destination, shipment terms, required documents and inspection conditions in writing. That creates a reviewable basis for both sides.
Use This Before You Move Forward
- Legal manufacturer and contracting entity confirmed
- Manufacturing location and relevant production line identified
- Capacity basis and current availability explained
- Target specification reviewed against representative documents
- Packaging, transport and destination feasibility checked
- Inspection, release and exception process agreed
This guide is general procurement information. Product suitability, documentation, handling, transport and regulatory requirements must be confirmed for the specific product, application and destination.
